We are thrilled to announce that Excel and Ready Community Program (ERCP) has been awarded $50,000 as part of the City of Pawtucket’s Community Impact and Education Grants, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This grant is part of a larger initiative in which $1.5 million was distributed to local nonprofits, educational programs, and youth-serving organizations that are making a meaningful difference in our city.
With this generous support, ERCP will expand our programming to better serve students in grades 2 through 12. The funding will allow us to strengthen academic support, career exploration opportunities, and social-emotional learning resources for the youth in our community. We are especially excited to continue addressing the educational disparities heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to foster resilience, confidence, and readiness in every student we reach.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Donald R. Grebien, the Pawtucket City Council, and the Office of Planning and Redevelopment for recognizing the importance of our mission and investing in the future of our youth.
