Our Story
Excel and Ready, Initially named IHM Community Program, was founded during the school year 2021/2022 by a group of friends who saw the need to reduce the educational gap and increase scholastic leadership within disadvantaged communities. Since then, we have grown to become a registered organization and help students excel.
The Mission
At Excel and Ready, we believe that learning should be engaging, interactive, and fun. That's why the primary objective is to help students improve their reading proficiency, ensure the quality and correctness of their homework, and improve their mathematical skills.
Our Vision
The learning path should not be static. We aim to make it as flexible as possible for all our students.
That's why our vision is to enhance math and English proficiency while providing a supportive and inclusive community where students can thrive.
Our Team
Our team consists of experienced members with different professional backgrounds who are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals.
- Valdir Cabral, Esq., a Public Defender. Graduate of Vermont Law School.
- Ronny Soares, a Program Officer working for a global development and education organization, and a graduate of Bryant University.
- Nelida Barbosa, Esq., an Immigration Lawyer, and co-owner of ABS Law firm.
- Josiene Rodrigues, a Quality Care Coordinator, affiliated with CharterCare and certified by the International Health Care Training and Services.
- Edmilson Landim, a Software Developer, and graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
